1947 501 straight jeans by Levi’s Vintage Clothing. Cut from 12 oz Cone Mill's red selvage denim. Featuring a rough rinsed with a mid rise with heavy whiskering and natural fade and distress detailing, a concealed fly fastening and button closure to the waist, classic five pocket styling with ripped abrasions, covered rivets to the back pockets, a double stitched needle Arcuate, chain stitched seams, "E" red tab and a Two Horse leather patch to the reverse.

It all started with the world’s very first blue jean back in 1873, now Levi’s history of creating iconic jeans, is bought to life with the Levi’s Vintage Clothing range. All of the denim throughout the collection is made in the Conemills factory in Greensboro, North Carolina where Levi’s have sourced denim since the 1920s. Introduced after the end of World War II, the 1947 501 sees a cleaner more youthful design, with no extra details like the cinch or suspender buttons seen on post war Levi’s 501’s. The arcuate or brand stitching on the back pocket, returned after a period of being painted on during the war, due to rationing.
