When holiday movies come up, we automatically think National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Thus, Clark W. Griswold, the infamous dad from the National Lampoon's Vacation franchise, comes to mind. Now, Clark isn't your typical father—in fact, sometimes he forgets his kids' names (Rusty and Audrey)—but that doesn't mean we wouldn't want to head back to 1989 and chop down a giant Christmas tree with the first family of comedy.

1. No matter how many things interfere with the celebrations, Clark always has the right attitude. Case in point: this epic line, "When Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse."

2. Clark isn't exactly a style icon—but we appreciate his consistency. In all four National Lampoon's Vacation movies, he rocks the same black Chicago Bears baseball cap. Rep it, dude.

3. This movie is chock full of pop culture references—specifically to another legendary Christmas flick, It's a Wonderful Life. Frank Capra III, assistant director of a Christmas Vacation, is the grandson of Frank Capra—the director of It's a Wonderful Life. In one scene, Rusty is watching the 1946 classic as his grandparents pull up.
