In the latest attempt to ensure that none of us forget about Dre, the man himself has released the first official picture of the cast of the N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton, on his Twitter feed.
At the back, you can see Ice Cube, director F Gary Gray, and the good doctor himself, while in front you have the young pups who'll be telling the story of one of the most influential hip-hop acts ever. From left to right, you've got Ice Cube's actual son, O'Shea Jackson Jr (who'll be playing the part of his dad). Then Jason Mitchell, who'll portray the late Eazy-E, and Corey Hawkins, who'll be filling Dre's considerable boots.
The official line on the film is that it, "tells the astonishing story of how N.W.A. revolutionized music and pop culture forever the moment they told the world the truth about life in the hood and ignited a cultural war." What they failed to add there, is that they looked really, really cool while they did it. Can. Not. Wait.
