While the '90s redux is still going strong (slip dresses, dresses over pants, to name a few) and there was a big nod to pop art, African influences and the statement skirt, do you want to know the easiest way to remember Spring '14? Just think 'shhh': sheer (especially in white and pastel), shine (some glam-rock touches and a lot of satin) and shorts. For the latter, note the new surfer-girl, Bermuda knee length worn with a cool, slouchy vibe.

We love us some model trivia, and here is some from three of the hottest new girls on the runway:
Anna Ewers, German, discovered while living in Colombia. Looks like a cross between Brigitte Bardot and Lara Stone.
Malaika Firth, a 19-year-old Kenyan-born Brit; her fave food is the 'boko boko' chicken served at her grandma's restaurant in Kenya and she is a fan of Erykah Badu (and let's not forget she got her big break on ASOS).
Elisabeth Erm, Estonian, she's a fan of rock music from bands like Korn and Papa Roach; her little brother is named Herman.

STREET STYLE TRENDS
You will have noticed lots of pink, lots of cropped pants and lots of black-and-white shoes, but for sheer ubiquity nothing could beat the evil eye (in logo terms it's the new tiger, courtesy once again of Kenzo), which watched, Big Brother-style, over everything.

HARDEST WORKING IT GIRL
Atlanta de Cadenet takes the cake here, attending all four fashion capitals and looking amazing in all of her gazillion outfits. Whether it was a patent bubblegum-pink pencil skirt, a simple black dress or her signature high-waisted jeans, this girl has got it.
Blake Lively made an exclusive appearance at Gucci, Kimye made a very public showing at Givenchy and of course there was David and Harper at Victoria Beckham. Perhaps our favorite front row celeb duo though was Lena Dunham and Michelle Dockery, looking as if they had been BFFs for their entire lives.
SMILING IS THE NEW SCOWLING
Finally, we've noticed that the traditional fashion glare (the less interested you are, the more interesting you look, or something...) has given way to a more Instagram-friendly trend: smiling. Just see how Anna Wintour, she of the perma-frosty demeanor, is now all jolly japes, and Karl Lagerfeld, taking his final bow at Chanel, flashed a grin worthy of the stinkiest French fromage. Say cheese!
