INSPIRATION AND ADVICE
NYFW SS18 STREET STYLE
By Lakeisha Goedluck, September 14, 2017
It’s that time of year again, when the womenswear fashion week circuit finally reaches New York. In a similar vein to the menswear edition, a number of guys in attendance took to the streets in super-slick gear. Here’s our round-up of the dudes stylishly smashing it in the Big Apple.
This guy’s got transitional dressing down to an art form. His outfit is an expert blend of both seasons — check out the summer staples in a fall palette. He keeps it chill with a Palace tee and cool denim jacket, but finishes his look with refined slacks for a masterful mash-up. Extra points for the Neo-style shades.
If anyone knows how to push sartorial boundaries, it's this fella right here. First off, he’s rocking an open white shirt — choosing to lap up the last of the sunshine, perhaps? He’s also daringly styled it with pinstripe cropped pants and a checked overcoat. And let’s not forget those yellow-tinted sunglasses and overt Gucci headband. Strong.
Always considered accessories to be a bit unnecessary? Well, think again, folks — this guy's proving that they’re a vital ingredient to any serious look. He’s kept his base layer simple with a classic polo and neutral-colored pants, 'cause the magic really lies in those angular shades, leather fanny pack and that much coveted Off-White belt.
From his eyewear to his blazer, this guy evidently likes experimenting with shape. His structured, pinstripe jacket nicely contrasts the vibrant slouched hoodie he’s wearing underneath it. And nothing says steez like matching the color of your gear to your kicks, especially when they’re Off-White x Nike Air Prestos.
