FW19 MILAN STREET STYLE

March 2, 2019

With a line-up boasting fashion’s biggest players (Prada, Versace, Armani... the list goes on) and a stunning cityscape, Milan Fashion Week certainly delivers the goods. And the street style that comes with it is no exception. Take a look at the five best looks snapped during the FW19 shows.

Logo overload

No points for guessing this guy's favorite designer but, if you’re flexing during fashion week, going hard on the logos is always a safe shout. With a Vetements' shirt, socks and sneakers, this man's brand loyalty is unswerving. To finish, he's made the most of the over-branding and camo combo with some washed-out denim, complete with casual knee rip. Nice.

Off-duty suiting

Tonal suiting is very much on the agenda for FW19, and you don’t have to wait for a wedding invite to channel a more sophisticated style. Take a cue from the guy above and pair with a printed tee, layered necklaces and chunky dadcore sneakers for a look that’s business at the front and, well, party at the front too.

Sportswear, but make it fashion

Now here’s a gent who’s knows what Fashion Week is all about: long walks between venues and after-parties on the other side of the city... Comfort is key, so he's gone with a considerably laid-back fit. Flipping layering on its head, he wears that Balençiaga shirt over a hoodie for a designer spin on an early 2000s, skater flex.

Tonal technique

The tonal brown movement might be a stark contrast compared to the louder, neon revival but, when executed as well as the look above, the palette can come off just as fresh. Plus, with tie-dye making some groovy waves this season, his pants prove you don't need to go full psychedelia to represent. Two trends in one pleasingly tonal outfit — fair play.

Get into gray

Almost as an affront to the current animal print and pattern clashing that’s ruling the sartorial landscape of late, shades of gray in all its wearable hues are starting to filter through for FW19. And the street styler above has taken to this stripped-back movement with aplomb. If your office isn't quite ready for that leopard-print blazer just yet, maybe consider this color trend for your workwear look instead.
